My passion in life is helping others achieve more than they thought was possible through healthy human connection.
I am an entrepreneur, interpersonal communication consultant, and former practicing attorney who has seen firsthand that when there’s trust in the room, all good things are possible.
I am dedicated to promoting a new leadership standard that recognizes our collective interdependence and prioritizes the willingness and ability to engage in direct, open, and rigorously honest dialogue.
As Founder and President of Matt Stone Enterprises (MSE), I help CEOs, entrepreneurs, and visionaries with the tools, techniques, skills, and resources essential for improving interpersonal communication and accelerating personal growth as a human-centered leader.
In addition to decades working with an entrepreneurial style in multiple industries, including law, multimedia marketing, and technology, I was mentored for ten years in behavioral science by a world-renowned MIT organizational psychologist and author.
I have had the honor of helping senior leaders improve self-awareness, communication, and team culture at numerous U.S. Federal agencies, financial institutions, public utilities, hospitals, Universities, and other private companies in the U.S. and abroad.
I draw
additional inspiration and deep insights about human connection and trust
building from my experience living and working in Europe, Asia, and multiple
U.S. states including Hawaii.
I hold a B.A. in History from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, and a Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai’i. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Oregon, have been trained in coaching and conflict resolution, and am a certified mediator. After almost a decade in Tokyo, I moved with my wife to the New York City metropolitan area in 2022.
